Regulations

Traverse Bay RV Resort Policy, Rules & Regulations

To ensure an enjoyable stay for all owners and guests, we suggest that you become familiar with the policies and procedures. They represent our best effort at defining and applying the “golden rule” to “RV living” so that it may be enjoyed by all.

​Thank You For Respecting Our Resort Rules & Regulations

  • Class A Motorcoaches are allowed anywhere but exclusive only in North & South Loops.
  • Fifth Wheel & Class C RV’s restricted to Back-In Center Section only. There are no pull-thru sites in the park.
  • All RVs must be RVIA approved and a minimum of 28 feet in length and no more than 10 years old. Consideration is given to older RVs but are subject to approval by management. Current exterior photos of your RV should be submitted to office@traversebayrv.com.
  • Vans, pop-ups, truck campers, travel trailers, Airstream trailers and Class B’s are not allowed. 
  • Each site reservation includes two occupants. Additional guests are charged $8/day per person. Maximum occupancy is 6 people per site.
  • Tents, canopies, pet fences and other temporary structures are not allowed.
  • Check-in is 1:00 pm. Check-out is 12:00 noon. No refunds for early departures for any reason.
  • Quiet time is from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.
  • Only propane grills and propane firepits are allowed. No charcoal, wood campfires or any wood burning products allowed.
  • No parking on the grass, street or vacant sites.
  • Any shed on the site is not part of the rental and may not be used during your stay.
  • Clotheslines or hanging clothes or laundry outside is prohibited.
  • Speed limit throughout the park is 15 mph.
  • Use of ATVs and drones are not permitted in the park.
  • Storage lot is provided for additional vehicles and tow dolly/trailers. Daily fees apply.
  • Tow dollies, trailers, boats and other watercrafts must be stored in the storage lot and tagged. Register at the office. Daily fees apply.
  • Charging of electric vehicles in the park is prohibited (daily fines may apply). Please use charging stations at Burger King on Rte 31.
  • Approved vendor list for all services is available in the office. Non-approved vendors are not allowed to provide services in the park.
  • All visitors must register and obtain a visitor’s pass for their vehicles from the office upon arrival.
  • A list of the park rules and regulations is part of the check-in package and always available in the office.
  • No refunds for early departures for any reason.

​​Rules for Pets

  • Park is restricted to no more than 2 pets per site. (Strictly enforced.)
  • Pets must have up-to-date vaccinations and proof of such must be produced upon request.
  • Pets are not allowed in resort buildings, pool area and resort ponds.
  • Barking dogs must not be left unattended.
  • A short leash must be used while walking your pet. Pets may be off leash in the fenced-in dog park only.
  • Pets must stay on your individual lot unless being walked.
  • Portable pet fences and other containments are not allowed on any site.
  • Please do not walk your dogs on other people’s sites; use designated areas only.
  • Guests must clean up after their pets on an on-going basis throughout the park including the hiking trails.
  • All breeds are welcomed, however, misbehaved and aggressive dogs will not be tolerated and will be required to leave the park.
  • No refunds for early departures for any reason.

Pool & Hot Tub

  • Pool and hot tub will open for the season on or around Memorial Day weekend, weather permitting, and will close for the season after Labor Day weekend.
  • There is no lifeguard on duty at any time.
  • Children 14 and under must be supervised by an adult while using the pool.
  • Children under the age of 14 are not permitted in the hot tub at any time.
  • Only toilet trained children are allowed in the pool. No diapers!
  • Pets are not allowed in the pool or in the pool area.
  • Plastic or metal containers are acceptable. No glass containers in pool area.

Pickleball Courts

  • Court hours are from 8:00 a.m. to sunset.
  • Proper court shoes are required.
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • No food, glass or alcoholic beverages.
  • No pets, bicycles, rollerblades, skates, scooters or skateboards.
  • Pickleball courts are used at your own risk.
  • Pickleball courts are available to registered guests only.

Park Deliveries

  • Please contact the office prior to sending or shipping to the park. Only UPS and FedEx deliver to the park. USPS does NOT deliver to the park.

Cancellation & Change Policy

To ensure a smooth reservation process, please be aware of the following cancellation and change policies:

Cancellations will incur a processing fee of $50. In addition cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date will incur a charge equivalent to either one day’s rental for the reserved site type or the full 25% deposit for the reserved dates, whichever amount is greater. This charge will be deducted from your prepaid credit card deposit. Please note that refunds will not be issued for any reason, including but not limited to early departures after check-in, personal matters, RV issues, or weather-related circumstances.

Changes to reservation dates within the same calendar year are permitted, provided that (1) availability allows, and (2) the new reservation dates fall within 60 days of the cancellation date. If the requested new dates are unavailable, the cancellation policy outlined above will apply. Please be advised that any changes to reservations or rescheduling of existing bookings will incur a change processing fee of $25.

There are no refunds after check-in for any reason including early departures.

​Upon check-in all Guests will receive park information regarding Rules and Regulations. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to check with the registration office. Some rules may be in addition to those briefly listed above. Management reserves the right to implement new rules and regulations when it is deemed to be in the best interest of all guests.
